Can Agile or Scrum project management and traditional project management work together? I have been working traditional projects for many years and recently have been using Agile or Scrum project management. There are strong points for both methods. The question is can they co-exist? Can you mix and match in one project and use both methodologies?  I say yes. I think that projects may follow traditional methodologies for the foundation work and some planning but the execution can certainly be Agile. Project management is much more situational than it was 20 years ago and that calls for a blend of different types of methodologies. Using story cards and scrum meetings works fine with the rest of the traditional project management processes.
